Friday 

New pop-up sibling duo Salt Chuck (including an ex-Mayfields chef) host their first ever event in Clapton's historic Tram Depot this weekend. Tonight is the second of three nights of their Loaves and Fishes meal - a five-courser with duck ham and horseradish, bayleaf-cured trout with samphire, rosemary-smoked mussels and shortbread, mascarpone and bergamot all on the £30 menu. Drinks wise, there's Clapton Craft beer and the intriguing sounding 'Mafia free' Sicilian wine. The building is due to be demolished shortly, so it's your last chance to enjoy the venue - you'll never get another meal as delicious here again. Literally. Tickets from here, starts at 7pm.

Saturday

It's the last night of Club Mexicana's residency and if you haven't been down to try it out, then what have you been doing? A vegan friend of ours said it's one of the best meals she's ever had, so it makes sense to get down there, quick smart. It's at the 119 Cafe in Clapton and the seven-course meal is being cheffed by Adam Rawson and it's an ingenious creation including rosemary-smoked (are you seeing a trend here too this weekend?) enoki mushrooms with jalapeno broth, refried beans with hibiscus molasses and roasted cornbread with pecan mole and smoked soya yoghurt all included as part of the meal. Sounds good enough to turn even the most ardent carnivore for the night...Tickets are £40 from here and the feasting kicks off at 7.30pm.

 

It's also the last-chance saloon for the Argentinian Pizza Supperclub on Saturday too, as there won't be another event until June 2015, and that's a long time to wait for decent pizza. Get your fill this weekend with the £22, four-course menu including homemade antipasti, fuzagetta and faina (traditional Argentinian pizzas). It takes place in Shoreditch from 8pm, it's BYOB and tickets are available from here.
