Popping up: 22nd - 25th August

Surely all legendary weekends start off with 1000 lobsters? Well, it does at the Adam & Eve pub in Homerton, as with their in-house culinary crew, The Cornish Grill, they're holding a Cornish Ale and Lobster Festival, kicking off today and lasting until Monday. It's free to enter and a plate of lobster, chips and salad will set you back just £15. Plus, they've got 100 barrels of ale to get through, so you might as well do the good thing and get necking that down, too. Find the feasting at 155 Homerton High Street.

Sometimes a tikka masala just won't cut it. Thankfully, Fifi's Supperclub is here to both educate and feed with their Indian Summer Supperclub. Expect "a spice tour through creative, fun and fusion dishes" that goes via their signature jalfrezi and a whole host of other peppy dishes. The meal takes place in a secret Shoreditch location from 7pm and tickets cost £29 from here. Check out their previous supperclubs on their Facebook here.

Are you feeling a little tired and emotional today? Can't face trekking way out west to the Notting Hill Carnival? Well, come and get a big hug in the shape of Climpson's Arch Bank Holiday Recovery Brunch. It's free to get in, and while they're yet to announce the exact menu, expect some expertly BBQed treats and some decent booze to help you top up. Again. Back to work tomorrow? Shhh....don't think about that now. Runs 11am - 4pm in Arch 374, Helmsley Place. More deets here.
