Guys, it's the last Street Feast in Dalston Yard this weekend. So if you haven't taken the time this summer to head over and sniff out some of the best street food offerings this side of L.A. then you have precisely 48 hours to get on board. Offerings this final weekend include Chomping Ground favourites Breddos Tacos, Rola Wala, Yum Bun and Pizza Pilgrims. Get down early, it's free before 7pm, or £3 afterwards and it runs until midnight today and tomorrow.
Think vegan, and you might not think instantly of Mexican food. But the two actually work really well, hence why Club Mexicana have been totally bossing it on the street food scene recently. The crew kicked off a month-long residency at The Convenience in Clapton earlier this week, so today is the perfect time to head down to try out some of their black bean and crispy sweet potato tacos or their chilli, lime and coriander soup. Serving up from 6pm - 10pm and more details here.
It's all about the taste of the Bayou tonight, as cook Marty Thone is hosting a Creole dinner inspired by his travels to Louisiana. There's a punchy start to the menu with traditional New Orleans Sazerac cocktails followed by shrimp and dipping sauce, chicken and sausage gumbo with cornbread and finished off with a super-sweet Bananas Foster tart. The dinner takes place in Unit D, a two-week pop-up space down in Aldgate, that's set up to showcase local artists, designers and cooks. Tickets for the NOLA feast cost £35 from here and it starts at 7.30pm. More details here.
