Popping up: 13 - 15th March


It's the first weekend of the Art Of Dining's super-kitsch Abigail's Party pop-up, and there's still some tickets available for tonight. It's a trip back into everyone's favourite neurotic's '70 abode, but it's Moro-trained chef Ellen Parr who will thankfully be in charge of the five-course menu. So expect prawn cocktail with Thai-infused flavours, fondue and even the odd Twiglet. A bit of Demis Roussos and some flares, and you're away...Tickets cost £55 from here and the party runs from 7.30pm at the Rose Lipman Building.


One of our favourite Italian chefs is back with his Quinto/Quarto pop-up, but Adha Battaglia has got help in the way of another Italian chef, Cristiano Meneghin from Tongue 'n' Cheek for tonight's special dinner. As part of head-to-tail week (who knew?) these two kitchen giants have created an exciting eight-course dinner with dishes like oxtail gnocchi and char-grilled ox heart, chicken liver risotto and lamb shank with artichoke ice-cream. It's being held under the arches by Hackney Downs, it costs a really decent £30 (tickets here)  and it starts at 7pm.



We recently went to an excellent pop-up at the butchers, Hill & Szrok, on Broadway Market (Breakfast of Champions, if you're asking), and now there's another great foodie event taking over on Sunday. Pickle are hosting two sessions of a Chilli Love five-course meal that includes Sichuan peppercorn beef carpaccio, crispy polenta-coated ricotta and black truffle balls, ginger salmon ceviche, Asian beer-poached chicken broth and yoghurt and naga marinated lamb chops. There's sittings at 2pm and 7pm and tickets cost £38 (available from here).
