It's the start of a Spanish summer this weekend as Estrella Galicia launches a two-month pop-up tapas lounge on the rooftop of Netil House. Little Galicia features a menu created by chef Omar Allibhoy and includes some of Galicia's finest cuisine like chorizo a la cerveza, pulpo a la Gallego and Pimientos de Padron, all designed to complement the beer on hand too. The Spanish hangout will be open Thursdays and Fridays from 6pm-9pm, Saturdays and Bank Hol Sundays midday-9pm until July 4th, and the dishes range from £3-£5. More deets here.
Also on Friday night is the first of a number of Italian supperclubs taking place - there seems to more Italian cuisine than you can shake a stick at this moment. This particular meal is the popular My Home From Umbria event and on the menu this time is bruschetta, salami and Pecorino to start, then conchiglioni with aubergine, followed by lamb with aromatic herbs and a classic tiramisu to finish. Tickets cost £33 from here, it's held in a church on Exmouth Market and it's BYOB, so fill your boots.
Then we move across the country to Milan, for the Italian Supper Club's Milanese meal. On the menu is egg and asparagus with bottarga, nettle risotto, Milanese steak with camomile flowers and mustard leaves, then dessert is summer panettone with poached loquats. The dinner costs £37.75 and tickets are available from here.
You're invited to a "you know them but you don't" meal in a Dalston home on Saturday night. The hosts are Kvartirnik, a foodie couple who are keen on food therapy - and have a love for "people, stories, flavours and adventures." For tonight's vegetarian meal, they're planning white miso and vanilla cured egg and asparagus, wild nettle soup, purple broccoli and salsify stirfry and a deconstructed carrot and walnut macaroon cake. Tickets cost £32.45 and - hurrah! - it's BYOB to. Book your place here.
