Popping up: Bank Holiday weekend

The new seasonal guise of Night Tales opens this weekend and Summer Tales in Old Street looks set to be a smasher. Open for the next 15 weeks with the likes of Burger & Lobster, Forza Win, Pizza Pilgrims and Bonnie Gull serving up food in the tropical-themed market - there's even a flamingo bar to whet your whistle. And who doesn't like flamingos? It launches on Friday, is open weekend evenings and costs £4 before 9pm and £5 afterwards. More details here.

It's the return of our brunch bash! And this time we're celebrating the bank holiday weekend in the best way we know how - excellent food, fruit breakfast cocktails and some amazing DJs at Club Brunch. Chef Joseph Ryan from Hoi Polloi will be cooking up the day's menu with an elderflower yoghurt and poached rhubarb amuse bouche to start, then a choice of hot smoked salmon hash with Sriracha creme fraiche or black pudding bubble with crispy fried duck egg and homemade brown sauce. Tickets - including a free cocktail - are just £15, it all takes place at Little Baobab (what used to be Candela in Clapton) from 10.30am - 2.30pm. Get your tickets here.

It's Monday morning - and chances are you're going to need some decent food to mop up all that bank holiday boozing. Step forward Masarap, who are putting on a much needed hearty Filipino brunch in Kafeteria in Old Street. On the menu will be some classics with a twist - so expect tocilog tacos (red garlic marinated pork with fried egg), kare kare burger slider and siseg fries with all the trimmings. Tickets cost £18 from here - go on, dig in...
