Popping up: 29th - 31st May

It's time to head up the canal to Hackney Wick, where Flamingo Pier are throwing a foodie party with the theme 'Postcard from the Seychelles'. So, moored by the Counter Cafe is the floating street kitchen Vinn Goute, who will be serving up exotic fish wraps, curried goat with saffron rice and coconut infused octopus curry. Crate Brewery will be serving up rum cocktails, cider and, obvs, beer from their new canal boat bar, Alfred Le Roy and there's disco-inspired DJ sets from Recloose and the FP Collective. Tickets (including a queue-jump, yes!) cost £20 from here and it starts at 6pm.

The ever popular Monograph is serving up another Japanese feast on Friday and on the menu is soft tofu with rocket and red shiso, udon with smoked mackerel, saiko miso marinated salmon and a selection of Japanese desserts to finish. Tickets cost £29 from here, and it takes place in Old St from 7.30pm.

There's more flamingo action on Saturday with the Flaming Flamingo supperclub holding a Mexi-Asian themed night called Treinta de Mayo. Held in The Joker in Angel the menu sounds super tasty: sharing plates of ricotta empanadas with habanero dressed leaves, cod cheek lettuce cups then fried fish and king prawns with a spicy Thai mango noodle salad, followed by sticky rice and exotic fruit for dessert. Tickets cost £33 from here and the fun starts at 7.30pm.
