There's all sorts of brunches around at the moment, but Dhaba Lane's Indian brunch offers something totally different from the usual Eggs Benedict. It's a long, lazy meal with a great menu: Mango lassi, Masala chai, savoury Indian pancakes, bacon or paneer roll, strawberry shahi toast and saffron and cardamom yoghurt. Phew! All of that is just £20, it takes place in Shoreditch at 11am and you can buy tickets from here.
The Eat Your Words book-and-supperclub meets again on Saturday and this time, it's Aldous Huxley's Brave New World that is food for thought. There'll be a three-course menu focused around the dystopian novel, so expect mackerel pate on rye toast, pie and vegetables and elderflower, Prosecco and summerfruit jelly. It's BYOB, costs £24.75 (buy tickets here) and takes place near Victoria Park.
From India to Germany - Sunday's breakfast meal of choice comes from Berlin, where they're very fond of a brunch buffet. For £22, you get a choice of brünch's food including German meats and cheeses, granola, the classic "eggs in a glass house", unlimited fresh German bread and Berliner waffles. Drinks aren't included in the price, but expect Club Mate and Fritz Cola and there will be Bloody Mary's on hand too, as it's held in Hackney Wick's CRATE Beer Shed. It starts from 11.30am onwards and tickets can be bought from here.
