Popping up: 7th - 9th August



Tonight is a big night around the Flamingo Pier way - not only are they celebrating their own record label launch, but they've also got Zoe's Ghana Kitchen in to do the food, too. On the menu is suya-spiced griddled beef rump kebabs, the super-tasty red red bean stew and jollof spiced fried chicken. There'll also be lychee daiquiris and gin garden cocktails from the Alfred Leroy cocktail barge. Get down to the Hackney Wick party from 6pm - it's the last one they're throwing this summer. Osteria Supper Club (formerly known as the I Love Your Hat! supperclub) are getting 'piggy with it' all this weekend with a dinner each night at Hackney City Farm's Frizzante restaurant. On the porcine-themed menu? Well, there's a pig platter with mortadella, salame, pancetta and lardo to start, then a slow cooked BBQed pork in a homemade bun with all the trimmings and a selection of (thankfully) pig-free ice-cream and chocolate sauces. Tickets cost £27 from here and include a glass of prosecco or a London Fields Brewery beer.




Who knew Sweden had their own festival dedicated to crayfish all throughout August? And they have special drinking songs and silly party hats for it too? Well, there's about a week left of Swedish eaterie Fika on Brick Lane's kräftskiva festival, so for £35 you can get unlimited crayfish, gravadlax, herring, chicken liver pate, bread and butter and that all important snaps to toast with.
