Popping up: 4th - 7th September

Guys, we think that was it. That was the British Summer Time in all its rainy glory, done and dusted. How much are flights to California again? Anyway, White Room Supper Club are waving goodbye to the season with a special meal tonight. On the menu is elderflower Champagne, kohlrabi soup with wild garlic, slow braised lamb shanks with summer beans, lemon and thyme panna cotta and raspberry swirl cake. It takes place in Islington from 7.30pm, tickets cost £35 from here and it's BYOB. See you next June, yeah?

Or, if you want to cheer yourself up with some fancy cocktails, get down to POND in Gillett Square, as it's the first night of the three-month pop-up, The Manhattans Project. They're all about giving classic cocktails a twist - so think drinks like American Gothic (Rye whiskey and Calvados) 8 (eight!) Rum Mai Tai, Lapsang Martinez and obvs a pretty damn fine Manhattan, too. The bar will be open from 6pm-midnight Mondays to Saturdays and a cocktail will set you back about £8-10.

Not arsed about meat this weekend? That's good, as there's a vegan food and beer tasting night over at Look Mum No Hands. The mighty fine Club Mexicana are on cooking duties and on their menu is Padron peppers, seitan carnitas, drunken black beans and chipotle chocolate truffles, all paired with some of the Five Points' finest bevvies. The event is on Friday and Saturday, starts at 7pm and tickets cost £39 for the food and beer from here.

New kids on the Wilton Way block, Pidgin, are mixing things up on Monday night, as the front of house team are headed into the kitchen to cook, while the chefs will be serving up front. Called Back to Front, it's the start of a monthly switch-up dinner where all the profits will be going to charity. This month, it's Action Against Hunger. The menu is top secret, but we're assured it'll be great. The event starts at 7.30pm and tickets cost £55 from here
